Jaron came home today! He is wearing a bag of chemo that he will carry with him 24/7, and will have to go back to the clinic every other day to exchange it for a new one. He seems to be feeling fine (fine is relative!), with no side effects so far. We expect him to lose his hair again, but we don’t know when that will happen. Let us say again that the nurses and doctors at Batson are fantastic – we could not ask for more competent, caring, professional yet personal care than we get at Batson. Besides taking antibiotics and having 2 spinal taps within the next month, it looks like the biggest issue will be getting used to carrying a backpack around. That is, for 28 – 56 days.
