Adoption for Abandonment

“But then the right time came. God sent his Son. A woman gave birth to him. He was born under the authority of the law. He came to set free those who were under the law. He wanted us to be adopted as children with all the rights children have. Because you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts. He is the Holy Spirit. By his power we call God “[Abba.]” Abba means Father.”

Galatians 4:4-6

This passage explains that we are adopted as sons and daughters of God! He chose to!! How great it is that Jesus was sent by the Father to redeem us, and adopt us. He also has sent the Holy Spirit in our hearts to confirm our new relationship with Him, but also to affirm us as precious and beloved. Our hearts cry out for our Heavenly Father, and the Spirit confirms that we are His very own cherished people.

Jesus was abandoned for our adoption. He was rejected for our acceptance. He took this penalty of sin upon Himself so that we could be delivered from the pain of loneliness, isolation, fear, and sadness of rejection or abandonment. The Father delivered Jesus and will also deliver you. He loves you and cares for your soul. Receive this truth by faith today and allow God to bring healing to your scars of rejection or abandonment.
