Note from a friend:
The most important thing about my life is not that I’ve given most of it to serve God in Christian ministry. It’s the small, every day choices to give something to Him that costs me. They are the big little moments when I worship Him without the music playing. To turn my eyes away, to give a moment of patience to an impatient driver, to give a smile to an unsmiling cashier, these are the moments that lead us to intimacy with God.
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17
“But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ…
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:7-8, 14
