Is Your Church Looking To Fill A Staff Position?

I am interested in serving on a church staff.  I have experience in most positions, except senior pastor (although I can and do preach) and children’s minister.  I have served as youth pastor, Minister of Music and Youth, member of worship team, coordinator and pastor of small groups. discipleship pastor, minister to college students, and operations director, leading a staff of 10 in maintenance, housekeeping and food service in a 280,000 sq ft facility.

I will always have a heart for teenagers and youth ministry.  I realize there are not many youth pastors my age, but I would tell you that I would be a better and, having raised two teenagers myself, more experienced minister to young people than I ever was in earlier years.  I love helping to equip and encouraging other adults who have a love for teenagers.

I see myself as a great fit for a church looking for an associate pastor who could fill many roles, or who could adapt to fit what a particular church is needing.  I would love to be a family pastor, taking new members and leading them to find their giftings and how they can serve and lead the church body, visiting and spending time out in the community with members and prospects, organizing and leading service and outreach opportunities, caring for the needs of the sick including hospitals, active in youth and college ministry, developing and/or strengthening small groups, and filling in and assisting the senior pastor as needed.

I love worship and leading others in worship.  I believe there is a huge need in the local church to grow deeper in the knowledge and experience of true worship.  I love leading choirs.  I love leading bands and orchestras.  I am willing to serve as lead worship pastor, but I must admit that age has weakened a lot of whatever vocal skills I had when I was younger.   But I am confident of leading a worship team to lead out along side me as I lead verbally, assisted by a choir.

I am simply looking for the right situation to have a chance to serve.  My ministry, like my personality, is relationship driven.  If you are looking for someone to love, serve and disciple people, I would love to have the opportunity.  I do not have a seminary degree.  I am willing to work towards a seminary degree online if you feel that is a necessity.  I would even be interested in a part-time position in the right situation, particularly if it could grow into a full-time position.  I currently live in the Jackson area, but also interested in the northeast Mississippi area.  Thank you for your interest and God bless you!

  1. Brother I will surly pray for the The Holy Spirit to locate the Best place for you ministry! We are members of Crossgate Baptist, but sad to say due to age and Debbie’s health don’t attend often. My favorite churches have always been smaller. Hug those beautiful girls (women) and give the Spirit the reigns! God has a place for all of us! We just have to be available when He calls!
